A dream that took shape over
65 years ago
back in 1958 when Vincenzo Atzeri, owner and landlord of Sa Festa, created the folkloric group Kalagonis, with the will and the desire to bring the sights and sounds and the flavours of his beautiful land, Sardinia, to national and international attention.
Since then
Sa Festa has entranced and captivated many visitors: the rich historical atmosphere, tradition and aromas, the music and dances of this ancient island performed by dancers dressed in traditional Sardinian costume, a shaded courtyard surrounded by lush green myrtle trees, together with our famous Sardinian hospitality and cuisine, make every moment spent in Sa Festa unforgettable.
Sa Festa offers the opportunity to savour an array of dishes, designed to celebrate and promote the traditional Sardinian cuisine, both al fresco in the courtyard or inside in an ancient wine cellar, whose warm, cosy and mysterious atmosphere is the ideal setting to enjoy special and important occasions.

that will involve all your senses: once you cross the weathered threshold of Sa Festa – covered in juniper branches – you’ll find yourself in a world full of history, colour, tradition and indescribable fragrances and flavours. The scent of mint, rose petals and myrtle branches, scattered over the entrance floor, makes the aperitif even more special.
Sa Festa is located in the historic centre of Maracalagonis
a sleepy town made up of narrow alleyways, just 12 km northwest of Cagliari. The region is renowned for the craftsmanship of sweets, of basket weaving, and for the making of Sardinian costumes and chairs. Our products, all free range and organic, are sourced only from local producer or from our own vegetable gardens, which are located just outside Maracalagonis.
The ideal location to enjoy special moments with family and friends
The beautifully shaded courtyard surrounded by lush green myrtle trees lends itself to accommodating as many as 400 people for a host of events. The cellar, furnished with old wooden tables in front of big oak casks, can accommodate smaller events of up to 90 people , both in summer and winter. The intimate, charming and warm atmosphere can be a wonderful location for Christmas parties, or joyous family occasions such as birthdays, graduations, weddings and christenings. The layout of the tables and the menu will be carefully planned together with you, and tailored according to the event itself (business or pleasure) to your personal preferences and needs.
